Arshia Project
The idea of Arshia Project came from Mojtaba Moradi’s Manga in Jan 2009, after first and second versions. Then the story was modified and edited by Sayed Mohammad Hoseini and Omid Mo’menzade.
Arshia is a 13 year old Persian boy who has lots of courage and likes to be a master of Kung-Fu and Taekwondo. His Classmates always make fun of his style of clothing and manner of thoughts, but he never minds. His father does not let him practice those kinds of sports.
During the story Arshia will find out that his family is not an ordinary family, but a clan of warriors …

Technical Info about Arshia Project:
Arshia project is an open source and free movie. The goal of Arshia Project is just making our fantasy dream of creating an animation in reality. In this project both free software (MyPaint, Inkscape, GIMP,
Synfig Studio and Blender) and None-free software (Photoshop CS3,Maya,Anime Studio) are used.
In the first episode we used traditional paper key frames because of lacking knowledge on vector animations, but for other episodes we are researching on vector animations which obviously can improve the quality. However the skill of members on 3d animations let us use 3d-2d technique which is a new method in animations industry. (Modeling and animating in 3D, then rendering in 2D and
editing it!)
In Arshia project we try to stay close to Japanese Anime style, however we have mixed it with Persian animation style.

The most significant factor ruining the speed of project’s progress is that we only have one outline drawer artist, so producing each minute’s key frames and betweening takes about one month.
